This is Laura Turner of eHow, in her writing tutorial series

Hello, and welcome to my website and blog. You can post on the blog and add pictures or video or excerpts from your writing if you want people to read it.

I'm writing for the NaNoWriMo in the month of November and I'm sure my writing 175 pages of a novel will be completed by then. (Now I'm not so sure)

It's already the 1st November and I still haven't decided what to name my novel or what to write in it. (o.k. I've named my novel and got about 14,000 words done so far) I'm kind of thinking that saying the words out loud may help me to write. I'm working on an outline now, breaking it down into parts:

  1. Genre
  2. Place/Location
  3. Characters
  4. Plot
  5. Antagonist
  6. Protagonist
  7. Conflict
  8. Action
  9. Resolution
  10. Ending

What seems to be easier? Just writing everything and then putting it into order or putting the writing into order first. I would think that writing had to be organized, so that the readers will know what they're reading.

There is also software that will help you dissect your writing if you have a lot of disjointed words, sentences and paragraphs. It's a stand-alone and doesn't need to be installed. Click the long button at the end of the page to download your copy.

If you want to send me an email, the address is meri@merib.zzn.com

By the way, if you want new ideas for writing your story or suggested phrases to complete your sentences, try this new software program. It's a free program and only 279KB. Just click on the "Download Free Software" button. The file is in .zip format.
